Prof (Dr) Durgesh Pant is among the earliest adopters and pioneers of Computer Science and Information Technology in the Uttarakhand Himalayan region of the country. He is credited with establishing the Department of Computer Science of Kumaun University Nainital as early as 1989-90. He has been instrumental in the establishment of many institutions as Head of Department and Convener of Computer Science,Kumaun University.

Dr. D.P.Uniyal is having more than 28 years of Research Experience in the field of Taxonomy & Ecology of Fresh water fish fauna of Northern India , Water Quality Monitoring, Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Studies Application, Innovation Promotion and Science Communication.

Dr. Mishra has 22 years of long experience in research & development, teaching and administrative work. The cornerstones of this initiative are forest and soil degradation and improvement, watershed management in hilly areas, field experimentation, formulation of environmental management plan and planting stock improvement. He has published more than 30 research papers in international and national journal of repute. Five book chapters are also in his credit.

Dr. Joshi is having 15 years of research and development experience in the field of Microbial Biotechnology. During his PhD, from H.N.B. Garhwal Central University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, he has worked on "Isolation and molecular characterization of cold tolerant phosphate solubilizing bacteria from North Western Indian Himalayas", with his expertise on study related to microbial genetic diversity/ biodiversity analysis, molecular biology, bioinformatics tools, plant growth promotion microorganisms and biofertilizers.

Er. Jitendra Kumar has a research and Administration experience on Science & Technology aspects. He is one of the pioneer official of UCOST. He is incharge/Technical Coordinator at DG Secretariat. Earlier to joining UCOST he was associated with State Observatory, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Uttarakhand, earst while state of UP, now Aryabhatt Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES). He has worked for development and maintenance of different instruments under atmospheric Section like Airglow photometer, BLL Lidar etc.

Mr. S.D. Bijalwan, M.Com, B.Ed. from Garhwal University; has 27 years of experience in administration and accounts. At present he is on deputation to UCOST as Administrative Officer/ Accountant since 21st May, 2015. He started his career as MJ in SDM Office/ Tehsil at Tehri Garhwal in 1989 and worked there as Principal Assistant till 2004. Also, worked as Principal Assistant in Revenue Board for 3 years and at Uttarakhand Space Application Centre as Principal Assistant for six and half years.
 

Dr. Aswal, Ph.D. in entomology from HNB Garhwal University has more than 10 years of experience in the field of agriculture, organic farming and extension programmes. Earlier he was working with Uttarakhand Organic Board as Project coordinator at Majhkhali, Ranikhet supervising the activities of the center. He has nearly 30 scientific publications to his credit in reputed journals . He is also a recipient of outstanding scientist award (2009) & Young scientist award (2011)

Mr. Manoj K. Singh by training has expertise in computer applications (MCA) like web development, database administration, programming in JAVA, C, C++ and .Net however by experience has garnered expertise in IP related issues like conducting patent search, organizing IPR workshops and facilitation in IP filing.

He has a total 8 years experience in Survey, construction, installation machine and commissioning of mini & micro hydropower projects in most interior areas of Uttarakhand. He has also worked as a project in-charge in watershed program in 2007 to 2012 with an NGO Sumary Gad Jalagam Development samiti. There he was involved in activities focusing on Soil conservation, Soil management, water harvesting & management and water recharging at various sites near Rung, Sirdang, Sirkha and Pangla villages.

Mr. Vikas Chander is a post graduate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun. He has more than 03 years of research experience in R&D projects on "Physical and Chemical Analysis, Testing, Training & Awareness of Potable Water & Water Source of Uttarakhand State" and "Studies on Pollution of Drinking Water Sources in Uttarakhand with Identification of Source of Pollution & Remedial Measures". Currently he is also pursuing Ph.D in Pharmacy from UTU.
