Council have different schemes under which grants and funding is provided.

Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Vigyan Dham, Jhajra, Dehradun invites the proposals for Research & Development and Science Popularization/IPR activities from reputed Institutions/Universities/ Govt Colleges/agencies of Uttarakhand State interested Institutions/agencies may submit their proposals in prescribed format in their areas(s) of expertise. The detailed project submission guidelines and prescribed formats for preparing project proposal/Science Popularization activities/National and International Travel support are available on the website of the UCOST: https://onlinesubmission.eucost.in/.

General Guidelines for Submission of Project Proposal

  1. Project proposal for all the schemes should be Uttarakhand State Specific.
  2. R&D Project proposals should be application-oriented. Major projects would be at a maximum cost of Rs. 12 lakh and minor projects at Rs. 5 lakh.
  3. S&T projects in collaboration with reputed National/State Level research institutions.
  1. Themes for the R&D projects for the F.Y. 2024-25 will be:-
  • Applied Science, Engineering & Technology
  • Waste Management
  • Renewable Energy
  • Water, Health, Hygiene & Nutrition
  • Agriculture and Horticulture including extension activities
  • Disaster Risk Mitigation
  • Himalayan System Science- Biodiversity Conservation & effect of Climate Change on biodiversity (including field-based studies on Taxonomy and Ecology), Human-wildlife Conflict
  • Rural Technology and drudgery reduction of women in hilly regions
  • Traditional Knowledge and S&T Heritage documentation
  • Home Grown Technologies

 

5. Preference would be given to colleges located in far-flung areas of the Uttarakhand State.

6. Maximum duration of R&D Project will be 3 Years including no cost extension period.

7. The PI/ Co-PI would be eligible to apply for next project only after release of Project Completion Certificate of previous project sanctioned by UCOST.

The Complete proposal prepared in the prescribed UCOST format in any of the above mentioned identified thrust

areas should be submitted only through online portal of UCOST: https://onlinesubmission.eucost.in/ before 11:59 PM on

14th July,2024.

Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Vigyan Dham, Jhajra, Dehradun invites proposals for Entrepreneurship Development Program and Adarsh Champawat Project from various Institutes/Trust/Societies/NGOs registered in Uttarakhand State through online mode, please visit website https://onlinesubmission.eucost.in/ for more information. No other forms of communication would be accepted. The last date of submission of the online form is 14th July 2024 by till 11:59 PM.

General Guidelines for Submission of Project Proposal

  1. Project proposal for Entrepreneurship Development Program should be Uttarakhand State Specific and Project proposal for Adarsh Champawat Project should be District Champawat specific.
  2. The Projects proposals should be Livelihood generation, Entrepreneurship Development, Rural Technology oriented. Major projects would be at a maximum cost of Rs. 12 lakh and minor projects at Rs. 5 lakh.
  3. Themes for the Entrepreneurship Development Program and Adarsh Champawat Project for the F.Y. 2024-25 will be:-
  • Agriculture and Horticulture including extension activities
  • Rural Technology and drudgery reduction of women in hilly regions
  • Livelihood generation for SC & ST communities in Uttarakhand
  • Traditional Knowledge and S&T Heritage documentation
  • Establishment of Women Technology Park & Technology Resource Centre.
  • Maximum duration of the Project will be 2 Years including no cost extension period.
  • One organization/NGO/Society should submit only one project.

The PI/ Co-PI will be eligible to apply for next project only after release of Project Completion Certificate of previous project by UCOST.
