Dr. Mishra has 22 years of long experience in research & development, teaching and administrative work. The cornerstones of this initiative are forest and soil degradation and improvement, watershed management in hilly areas, field experimentation, formulation of environmental management plan and planting stock improvement. He has published more than 30 research papers in international and national journal of repute. Five book chapters are also in his credit.

He is a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellow and serves on the Review Committee of several international journals. Ashutosh holds post-graduate degrees in Forestry from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand and doctorate in Forestry (Soil Plant relationships) from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India.

He has 13 years of research and teaching experience from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun India and has attended International Summer School Programme at Faculty of Forest Sciences, Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Germany. Dr. Mishra also visited Paris, France during Summer School Programme & attended DAAD Alumni meet at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

He is looking after Research & Development Division, & also the In-charge of Science & Technology Congress of the Council.
