He has a total 8 years experience in Survey, construction, installation machine and commissioning of mini & micro hydropower projects in most interior areas of Uttarakhand. He has also worked as a project in-charge in watershed program in 2007 to 2012 with an NGO Sumary Gad Jalagam Development samiti. There he was involved in activities focusing on Soil conservation, Soil management, water harvesting & management and water recharging at various sites near Rung, Sirdang, Sirkha and Pangla villages.

Mr. Ghuniyal has 2 popular articles namely in Vigyan Chhitiz patrka. & Dev Bhumi patrika (Jan.-Fab.2014).

Ghuniyal's Role in UCOST as a Jr. Scientific Asst. He is involved in INSPIRE Award Scheme and Entrepreneurship Development Programme in the Council.
