Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology (UCOST) is going to organize the 19th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Conference (19th USSTC) on 28th- 30th November 2024 at Doon University, Dehradun. The theme of this year’s Science Conference is “Water and Natural Resource Management in context of Uttarakhand“. This year, a Global Summit on Disaster Management will also take place with 19th USSTC simultaneously.
PART A: This year the 19th USSTC will laying emphasis on “ Water and Natural Resource Management in context of Uttarakhand”. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and students across the state to discuss and exchange ideas on the latest developments, best practices, and innovative water and natural resource management approaches. The conference covers a wide range of topics related to water resources, including water conservation, water quality, water governance & related disasters, Community based forest resource management including mitigation of forest fires and human-wildlife conflicts in the state. The conference provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary knowledge sharing, collaboration, and networking opportunities. In addition to keynote speeches, technical presentations, panel discussions, and Brainstorming sessions on various aspects of S&T.

- Management of water resources including traditional resources and water quality monitoring in Uttarakhand
- Mitigation of water-related disasters including flash floods and GLOF in the Himalayan region
- Community based forest resource management including mitigation of forest fires and human-wildlife conflicts in the state
PART B: Council invites abstracts of original research work, experiments and success stories related to the theme “Water and Natural Resource Management in the context of Uttarakhand“ from research fellows and researchers studying/working in different R&D research institutions, universities, colleges and any recognized, private or autonomous Science and Technology organizations located in the Uttarakhand State in the following disciplines: -

The selection of the abstracts will be done after a rigorous screening process and selected abstracts will be called for Oral/Poster Presentation during the Conference.
The registration fee is compulsory for all the participants. Fees will be submitted along with abstract (payable by way of Demand Draft) for the Conference is as follows:
- Research Scholars - INR 600/-
- Other in-service - INR 1000/-
Note –
- Registration fees for the withheld abstracts will be refunded to the candidates after completion of the Conference.
- The paper receiving the highest score by the Scientific Committee members will be awarded as the“Young Scientist Award“ in each discipline.
